Amber Greene
Carter Hernandez
Amber Greene is the protagonist of Colossal. She stumbles into a mirror version of her hometown, Dallas, after chasing Carter. The show revolves around her learning her world is just a minuscule speck in the cosmic order, and how she grows to defend it. She lives in Dallas with her father, Jerry. She has a heart of gold, and hides an adventurous streak a mile wide behind chic outfits and a goody-two-shoes mask.
Carter Hernandez is A Spanish immigrant living in Dallas with his grandmother, and his sister, Emily. Carter works with a clandestine group, known only to the richest and most powerful people in the world, "The Hundred-Handed Ones," who protect the earth from Colossi. Carter is the only field agent active in the Southern United States until Amber joins him. He and Amber quickly become friends as he teaches her.
Secondary Characters
Jerry Greene
Jerry Greene is Amber’s 50-year old father, and an Army veteran, with a hot temper. Even at his age, Jerry is still very physically fit, and strong as an ox. Jerry’s a stubborn man, who cares for his family above all else. As the series progresses, Jerry begins to grow suspicious of Carter, who spends a lot of time with his daughter. He’s one of the few people who doesn’t work with Preston but figures out what he’s up to. When he does, he tries to get Amber to stop by refusing to allow Carter to speak to her.
Emily Hernandez
Emily Hernandez is Carter’s younger sister, and his reason for fighting. She barely survived her birth, and at the same time, her mother didn’t, so she’s been carrying around the guilt of that since she was a small child. Much like her brother, Emily is outgoing, witty, and charming, especially for a 14-year old kid. She’s much more trouble than her brother, and at only 4’8”, she’s small enough to get away with it. As the show progresses, Emily becomes more suspicious of her brother’s work, and becomes more concerned with his safety. Her curiosity gets the best of her, and by the end of season 3, she realizes what Carter’s been up to
Michael Preston VI
Michael Preston VI, or as he’s better known in his circles, Preston the Sixth is the leader of the Hundred-Handed Ones, and Carter and Amber’s boss. Intimidating, emotionless and shrouded in mystery all describe him well, but more than anything, Preston VI can be described as powerful. Earning his name, which was passed down to only the most powerful hunters since the Age of Heroes in Greece, Preston is a smart, cunning, and physically dominating person, standing at almost six and a half feet tall and extremely muscular underneath his tailor-made Italian suit collection. What makes him a dangerous foe however, is not his physical prowess, but his mental ability. He earned his name by out maneuvering five Colossi and getting them to fight each other until he could deliver the killing blow on each.
